The business card holder I have is the Multi-tone Pink Crystal Business Card Case from Executive Gift Shoppe.  Let me tell you, this picture doesn’t give the case justice.  It is simple gorgeous.

At the conference I almost always got a compliment on the case when I pulled it out to hand someone a business card.  Of course, mostly from the women.  But I did have one man who asked me for a business card and when I pulled it out, said never mind that he remembered the case and had already gotten a business card.

This business card holder made me stand out at the conference and helped to make me and my business more memorable.  Executive Gift Shoppe has other business card holder styles as well so I’m sure you can find one that is unique but still your style.

The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner has just made my life a lot easier.  Now all I have to do on a regular basis is just wipe down the toilet seat the Automatic Toilet Bowel Cleaner takes care of the rest.  I will admit, I didn’t think it would work and work well.  I mean, really, it’s going to clean my toilet for me?  I don’t think so.  Boy, was I surprised.  It not only worked, but it worked well.

Of course, it’s not perfect and I did have to clean it before using it.  But I am not having to do full cleaning as often as I was and that makes it’s use worth wild.  It saves me time and being a mom of two little ones anything that can save me even a little bit of time is wonderful.  Now I want to try out the Automatic Shower Cleaner!

Lola’s Alphabet Train is a game for children ages 3 to 8 that helps them to learn the alphabet, recognize letters, and learn how to spell.

My 3 year old daughter got frustrated with the game in the beginning, but once I showed her a couple times how to play she began to really enjoy it.

My 5 year old son had no problem whatsoever picking up the game.  In fact, he really excelled at the game.

One of the games you get you to play is a ‘drag and drop’ game where you drag letters to the correct blue square to spell a word.  The only way my 3 year old was able to play was by tapping the blue square first to see what learn was suppose to go there.  While she didn’t learn the spelling this way, it allowed her to be able to recognize the letters and then match them.  I’m honestly thinking she might have been a little too young for the game.

Overall, the Lola’s Alphabet Train game was hit.  I, as a parent, love the vibrant colors and the fact that the game gets more complex as they start accomplishing certain tasks.  Completely worth the $1.99 it costs in the Apps Store.

Since I had never had this BBQ sauce before I decided to start off with the Original Mild mix and made BBQ Hamburgers with french fries.  This was a pretty simple meal to make especially since I used premade paddies for the burgers.  First I had to mix the BBQ sauce.  Easy enough.  Just added some ketchup and water and then let it boil on the stove top.  Next I coated my hamburger patties in the sauce.

Next I brought out my handy George Forman Grill.  It was just too hot to grill outside like I normally do.  I cooked the patties for a couple minutes until cooked.  At the same time I also had some french fries in the oven cooking.  This meal was very easy and simple to make.  It took me less than 30 minutes.

The BBQ hamburgers were very good and my kids really liked them.  I personally think they were a little too mild, but that is probably why my kids liked it so much.

Herman T’s website has a BBQ Meatloaf that I want to try out.  I think I will use the Spicy Hot sauce mix for it.  It’s on the menu for next week.

Last month we were effected by the multiple tornadoes that went through the state of Oklahoma.  Among other issues, we had a broken skylight in our master bedroom which caused wall damage when the softball size hail started coming through.  Needless to say, the walls had to be re-plastered and then repainted.  I didn’t do it myself but hired a professional.  I did, however, buy the paint and painter’s tape needed.  Afterward there was extra painter’s tape.  Let me tell you, I love this stuff!

You can use painter’s tape for almost anything!  Such as hanging the kid’s pictures on the wall.  Painter’s tape won’t damage the wall or peal off the paint when said kid pulls the picture down.  How about to use it to write notes or make notations on the walls.  Put a strip of painter’s tape on the wall and then write your note on the tape with a marker.  We do this when playing certain games or to mark where I want to hang a frame.

I was sent 3 products to review, a board book titled, “Thumbuddy, Thumbuddy, I Love You”, the book “You Are Thumbuddy”, and a CD titled “Words of Blessing”.

My daughter loved the board book, “Thumbuddy, Thumbuddy, I Love You”.  She has just started saying “I love you” and took an immediate liking to this book since it focuses on her new favorite saying.  This board book is about expressing a parents love of their child.  It focuses on the importance of developing a foundation of self worth which leads to self respect.  It is a very simple and fun book but teaches such important lessons.

Now my son preferred the book, “You Are Thumbuddy” and is my favorite of the two as well.  This book emphasis how every child is make unique and has something special to offer.  What I really like about the book is that is includes  Bible verses to help get the point across.  One example from the book is this:

It’s fun when we use our talents and skills to bless others.  We can feel good about ourselves when we do out best with the gifts that God gave us.

The CD, “Words of Blessing”, is so soothing and relaxing.  It is words of encouragement and blessings spoken over soothing music.  While my children did not really enjoy the CD I liked it a lot.  I like to play it in the car and just spend the time thanking God for all he has done in my life.

Even if you don’t plan on purchasing any products from Thumb People, be sure to stop by their website anyways.  You can download a song as free gift that I am sure your children will love.

What really caught my eye about this book was this quote on the back cover:

“Whether your child is three or thirty-three, it’s never too late to discover the joy that comes from being a part of God’s work in your child’s life.”

and this quote too:

“Being a perfect parent doesn’t matter. Being a praying parent does.”

The book tells you more than to just pray, it gives you ideas of things to pray about. It explains the importance of starting to pray for your child’s future mate, even if the child is still young. Some of the topics it includes are: feeling loved and accepted, establishing an eternal future, honoring parents, resisting rebellion, maintaining good family relationships, Godly friends and role models, developing a hunger for the things of God, being the person God created, following the truth, and many, many more.

I just can’t say enough good things about this book. It has changed my prayer life. I have always kept a prayer journal and listed things to pray for and when the prayer was answered I crossed that item out. I now have two pages completely dedicated to my kids and their growth and character.
